Gunel Javadova was born on May 18, 1985, in Baku. From 2001 to 2005, she studied at the Faculty of Law of Baku State University. Between 2005 and 2008, she obtained a master's degree in Law from Baku State University. She began her career in the banking sector in 2006 and worked in various positions in the banking sector until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, she served as the head of the Consumer Rights Protection Department at the Financial Market Supervisory Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2018 to 2021, she worked as the director of the Legal Department at Unibank Commercial Bank Open Joint Stock Company. Since 2021, she has been working as the director of the Legal Support and State Bodies Coordination Department at Azerbaijan Investment Holding. By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 30, 2021, she was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of BakuBus Limited Liability Company. By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 16, 2022, she was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of Baku Metropoliten Closed Joint Stock Company.
