Vugar Majidli was born on February 16, 1972. In 1994, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, specializing in the Economics and Management of Production. In 2005, he completed the distance learning department of the Faculty of State and Municipal Management at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2005, he obtained a master's degree in Business Management from the MBA program of Georgia University in the USA and Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Since November 1994, he has been working at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, holding positions as an economist, leading economist, chief economist, department head, deputy head of the main department, and since 2015, as the director of the Department of Finance of Economic Sectors. He is married and has three children.
