Carriage Air Conditioning Enters a New Era of Service Standards!

21 DECEMBER / 2023 / 16:35

A new era is unfolding in the Baku metropolitan area, characterized by evolving air conditioning service standards within the carriages. As the number of new-generation carriages continues to rise, ongoing innovations are being seamlessly implemented. The “Narimanov” electric depot, at the forefront of these advancements, is expanding its capabilities for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of these modern trains. In the recent period, the electric depot has undergone significant transformations, introducing modern stands, equipment, and various other innovations, ensuring it stays ahead of the curve.
In the realm of microclimate control, specifically the air conditioning control system of the new-generation wagons, substantial improvements have taken place in an inconspicuously short timeframe. Building on the wealth of experience and practical knowledge gained, these innovations have further deepened. The tasks related to the review of car conditioners, considered a new and pioneering area for the Baku metropolitan area, have been addressed with meticulous attention. This encompasses the accurate determination of technical tasks, equipment assembly considerations, and maintenance and repair work both during the production period and for wagons that are out of the warranty period.
The establishment of a professional service, a journey initiated with the procurement of the first trains, is now bearing fruits in subtle but impactful ways. Overcoming organizational and structural challenges, a proficient staff has been meticulously formed, ensuring a seamless workflow for maintaining and repairing the microclimate control system, including air conditioners, in alignment with precise technical parameters. This dedicated team includes a foreman, 8 refrigeration mechanics, 8 repair fitters, and a foreman’s assistant, meticulously following a comprehensive maintenance plan categorized into scheduled, technological, regular, and unscheduled activities.
Innovations extend gracefully into daily inspections, covering condenser and evaporator cleaning, filter replacement, refrigeration system inspections, and scrutiny of the automation system. Fault identification through computer diagnostics is seamlessly integrated, contributing to the ongoing efforts to eliminate the human factor and enhance system reliability.
Addressing the complexity of maintaining and repairing the air conditioning system for new-generation trains at the “Narimanov” electric depot is a notable achievement. The adaptation of the existing depot, operational for an impressive 56 years, has been undertaken with discreet adjustments to accommodate microclimate control systems. Safety measures have been meticulously implemented for working under high-voltage conditions, ensuring a secure and efficient environment. Necessary conditions for service work, such as blowing and washing, have been introduced, and a dedicated platform for train maintenance has been seamlessly integrated.
Constant global monitoring by “Baku Metropoliten” CJSC underscores a proactive approach to production and operational issues, innovations, and evolving technologies related to microclimate control systems worldwide. With the increasing number of new-generation trains and the expiration of warranty periods, the emphasis on maintenance, spare parts acquisition, and efficient operational practices remains discreet yet pivotal. The initial stage of formation in this field, initiated in 2017, is transitioning into a phase with heightened focus on microclimate control in trains, optimal decision-making during maintenance and repair, and achieving efficiency and cost savings.
The year-round significance of air conditioning systems in Baku anticipates a subtle yet steady surge in innovations in the future. Initiatives such as seminars, practical experience exchanges, and forging closer ties with scientific research and educational centers, by involving foreign professionals, mark the initial steps toward embracing new technologies worldwide and applying them at the local level. The harmonious integration of these initiatives contributes to a continuous evolution in the realm of air conditioning service standards within the carriages, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for passengers on their daily commute.
