The first line has been in operation since November 6, 1967. The total length of the line is 20.01 km, comprising 13 stations.
It merges with the Green line at the "28 May" station on the same level. As a result, trains from "28 May" to "Hazi Aslanov" and vice versa continue their movement on essentially one line.
The movement on the line is organized as follows:
