The number of passengers using the QR ticket payment system, introduced in all stations of the Baku Metro on the last day of 2023, has increased. Over the month, 148,025 passengers opted for this payment method. The “28 May” station recorded the highest number of QR ticket payments – 14,216 passengers. The highest number of fare payments using this method was recorded on February 27 – 6,858 passengers.
Generally, if we only consider weekdays, the number of users increased from 4,823 on February 1 to over 6,000 after February 19 each working day. Despite being introduced just two months ago, the number of people trusting electronic fare payment is increasing.
