THREE MORE TECHNICAL AREAS RECONSTRUCTED

An important part of the reconstruction of the Narimanov electric depot is to bring the maintenance area of trains up to modern standards. No large-scale repair work has been carried out here since the depot was put into operation in 1966.
the maintenance and repair of trains is known to be mainly related to the undercarriage equipment. For this reason, reconstruction measures are important, first of all, in terms of improving working conditions. As a result of the repair, the technical maintenance and repair of the trenches, which are the main stops of trains, are carried out more efficiently, with the quality improved.
As part of the reconstruction, three more trenches were reconstructed, taking into account all modern technical and regulatory requirements. At the initial stage of the work, the trench tracks were removed. A new concrete foundation, in accordance with modern requirements, was laid, and the depth of the trenches adjusted to regulatory requirements. The above-the-ground elements of the road were changed here, and modern rail bases and connecting elements laid.
During the repair, power lines and lighting, as well as the drainage system were upgraded. The floors and walls of the trenches were plastered.
A special mechanism has been laid at the entrance of the area to clean the front part of the main carriage of trains. Installed at both ends, a new staircase has been built to access the main carriages.
With the three more trenches commissioned, it is possible to visually assess the maintenance area of the depot for trains from two different perspectives. The old trench, on the one hand, and the updated trenches, on the other, help to cast a comparative look at the area, thus determining the scope and quality of the reconstruction. Based on all of this, it is possible to anticipate that the appearance of this area will change completely in the near future.
Besides, the entrance area to the trenches is completely changing. Depending on its purpose, the roadbed of the front part of the trenches, just like depot and park roads, is built on a gravel ballast foundation, with reinforced concrete sleepers laid here. the road infrastructure and contact rails are also being upgraded.
The gradual reconstruction of the next three trenches has started in the technical maintenance area of ​​the depot.
