The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has decided to extend the special quarantine regime due to coronavirus (COVID-19) infection from 00:00 on April 20, 2020 to 00:00 on May 4, 2020. Thus, all the measures envisaged in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 124 of April 2, 2020, including restrictions on access to the territory of Azerbaijan by land and air transport, local flights, except for cargo transportation, as well as the suspension of the teaching and learning process at all educational institutions will be extended until 00:00 on May 4, 2020.
On the other hand, a phased exit plan from the extended quarantine regime will be prepared and presented to the public next week. At the same time, it is possible for the restrictions imposed in some areas during the extended quarantine regime to be eased after analyzing the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country.
It is also possible to reinforce the quarantine regime, if necessary, by analyzing the infection rate of COVID-19 and the general situation in the country related to the disease.
