In order to ensure the implementation of the measures arising from the implementation of the measures envisaged by law in connection with the declaration of martial law in the country, as well as to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, intensified control and preventive measures are underway in the Baku metro.
In accordance with the guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus infection in public transport, the use of medical masks in the Baku metro, the rules of protection of social distance are strictly enforced, and as a result of monitoring, measures are constantly updated. It should be noted that the installation of guides at the entrances to the stations to ensure the protection of social distance serves to regulate the movement of passengers. New scanner-type inspection devices already have an impact on ensuring the smooth movement of passengers. The main task of the equipment used at the checkpoints at the entrances to the stations is to increase the ease and safety of passengers using the metro. Initially used in most metro stations and operating in automatic mode, this multifunctional system quickly inspects movable items, including bags and other load within the specified dimensions, and serves to eliminate delays.
It should be added that at the checkpoint, each passenger is required to properly wear a medical mask, reminded of the importance of maintaining social distance, along with selective temperature measurement.
In order to strengthen preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus infection, the monitoring by metro and police officers at stations and trains has increased, and as a result, inspections intensified at certain times of the day. During inspections, preventive talks are held with passengers and recommendations are given. Taking into account today's requirements, the importance of more responsible use of medical masks by passengers, protection of social distance is explained in detail.
Passengers entering the metro stations are asked to approach the automatic inspection devices at the entrance to the stations, use a medical mask properly, keep their belongings and luggage ready when entering the lobby.
