"Ahmadli" Station
Located on the "Baku Soviet-Ahmadli" route section, Ahmadli is the last station commissioned during the Soviet era. The architecture of the station is simple and compact, yet this simplicity harmonizes with the history of the area it is situated in. The rectangular columns are clad in a composition of white marble and brown granite, resembling the minarets of a mosque bearing the weight of its ceiling.
The flooring is made of gray granite bordered by white marble strips. These white marble strips extend along the columns, starting from each column towards the center, intersecting at right angles in the middle between the columns, creating a unique pattern of hexagons that continues throughout the station.
The wall cladding of the platform ends a little above the level of the train tracks. The wall, faced with light gray marble, continues the hexagonal intersecting strips motif from the floor, but in a finer form, reminiscent of the traditions of Azerbaijani carpet weaving.
Until the "Hazi Aslanov" station was opened, Ahmadli served as the final station. Therefore, a transition chamber was placed in front of the station, allowing for an alternative to the traditionally costly construction of a double-track dead-end. This setup made it possible to receive and dispatch trains on both tracks, although during peak hours only one of the tracks was utilized.
Passengers on trains entering the station are greeted with a fragment of Tofiq Guliyev's song "Baku."
