A photo exhibition titled "Climate Crises: Realities of Displacement" has been inaugurated at Baku Metro's “İçərişəhər” station. Organized in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in Azerbaijan and "Baku Metro" CJSC, the exhibition aims to showcase the severe impact of climate change on refugee and displaced communities, raising awareness about this pressing issue.
The exhibition features compelling visuals depicting the resilience and challenges faced by individuals from regions severely affected by climate change, including Syria, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
As part of the preparatory campaign for COP29, the exhibition underscores the urgency of climate action, drawing attention to the human dimensions of climate-induced displacement. It calls for global efforts and support for vulnerable communities.
During COP29 and the lead-up to the event, metro passengers and visitors are invited to reflect on the interconnectedness of climate change and displacement. This initiative also highlights Azerbaijan's commitment to promoting global dialogue on climate resilience and humanitarian action.
