It is 102 years since the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan. It was the first democratic structure of state to be established in the East and thus, entered the life of the Azerbaijani people as a great and significant event. By declaring independence, the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic demonstrated our people’ determination to be independent.
"Although the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic lived a short time, it strengthened our people’s ideas of freedom and independence," said national leader Heydar Aliyev succeeded in having Azerbaijan take its worthy place on the map of independent countries in our recent history.
Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who highly values this glorious history by saying "We are rightly proud that the people of Azerbaijan was the author of the establishment of the first democratic republic in the Muslim world. This shows that our people are a very progressive nation,", our country is strengthening its independence and moving forward with full confidence.
On the occasion of the Republic Day, the staff of the “Baku Metro” Closed Joint-Stock Company sincerely congratulates our people, wishing our country a prosperous future and peace.
Let the words of the national leader Heydar Aliyev "Our independence is eternal, permanent, and irreversible" be our slogan calling for victories.
