Baku Metro has suffered a heavy loss. Etibar Javanshir oglu Isayev, who worked in various positions in the metro for 30 years, became one of the strongest specialists in traffic organization, and since 2015, headed the Traffic Service of "Baku Metro" CJSC, died of heart failure on June 17 at the age of 52.
Etibar Isayev was born on February 4, 1968 in the Dmanisi region of Georgia. In 1992, he graduated from the Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Automobiles and Automotive Engineering, majoring in mechanical engineering.
On December 12, 1991, he was hired as a duty officer to receive and send trains to the Traffic Service of the Baku Metro. Etibar Isayev, who dedicated his life to the Baku metro since then, became one of the strongest specialists not only in the metro here, but also in the post-Soviet area.
Shortly after being hired, in April 1992, he was promoted to accountant-inspector and in September of the same year to the position of station attendant. The next stage of his rise as a professional was in 1993, when he became one of the most important posts in the organization of the movement.
In 1996, Etibar Isayev was given another more responsible position - Chief Engineer of the Traffic Service. In his professional career, he held the positions of Lead Engineer of the Baku Metro in 2000, Chief of the Traffic Service in 2001, and Chief Engineer of the Service again in 2002. Etibar Isayev, who was appointed Chief of the Traffic Service on June 29, 2015, worked in the metro not only for his career, but also as a professional, selfless metropolitan always justifying trust in him in the areas important to the company and all the work assigned to him.
Along with his high professionalism and dedication, his enthusiasm, tireless work and innovation were always an example for the metro youth.
On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Baku Metro, on November 6, 2017, he was awarded the title of an Honorable Engineer by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
His professional success was repeatedly awarded with various prizes. On November 6, 2008 he was awarded the badge of "An Honorary Railroader".
The organizing committee praised his close participation in the organization of transport during the First European Games in 2015, the IV Islamic Solidarity Games in 2017, the final match of the UEFA Europa League in Baku in 2019, as well as various public events in the capital.
His speeches at a number of meetings, conferences and seminars of the International Metro Association, which unites the countries of the CIS and Eastern Europe, attracted the special attention of metro specialists in the post-Soviet space. He was also an exemplary head of family, a kind man, a good friend, and a trustworthy companion.
The memory of Etibar Isayev will always live in the hearts of his family, metro staff and those who know him well.
